October 14, 2014 Belle Wingert Earns Second Team All-Region Honors Sewell, NJ- Freshman Belle Wingert finished second at third singles at the Region XIX tennis tournament. Wingert suffered a tough defeat to a season undefeated opponent in the finals match, 6-1, 6-1.

October 4, 2014 Cross Country Finishes NJIT Highlander Challenge Newark, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NJIT Highlander Challenge at Branch Brook Park. In the women's 5k, freshman Sarah Dzurina finished ninety-first out of 162 runners with a season best time of (23:24). Sophomore Mikaela Peters finished in 112th place with a time of (24:35).

Nearly 100 family and community members, and dignitaries gathered at the Sterling Ballroom in the DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls to honor the latest Brookdale Community College squad to earn a National title.

A three-tiered honor system, to earn the NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement, a student athlete must have earned a GPA between 3.80 – 3.99 and the NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement requires a GPA between 3.6 and 3.79 and the NJCAA Pinnacle award requires a 4.0. May 22, 2014 Sara Vocisano Earns Marucci Elite Hitter Award Colorado Springs, CO- Brookdale Community College freshman Sara Vocisano earned the 2014 NJCAA Softball Marucci Elite Hitter award. The award is presented to the All-America nominee from each district with the highest batting average. Vocisano had an overall batting average of .490 for the season. She tallied 72 hits, smashing 17 doubles, 3 triples, and a home run. She also drove in 34 RBI's for the Jersey Blues.

In three straight sets, Smoke clinched the national title at first singles, downing his opponent, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. This is the second year in a row Smoke has taken first singles at the national level.

The Blues downed the Pioneers, 4-0 in the first round of the NJCAA Division III Women's Softball National Championship Tournament. In the first game, after being up 4-0, Globe tied the game at four in the top of the sixth inning.
