Jersey Blues Connect For Three More Wins On Spring Trip

Lake Myrtle, FL - Sophomore right-handed pitcher Jonathan Martin threw heat for the complete first game against the Knights of Northern Essex Community College as the Jersey Blues recorded the 6-1 victory. Martin notched 10 strikeouts and allowed only three hits.

Freshman outfielder TJ Scuderi knocked in one run, scored one run and ripped one double. Freshman outfielder Dominic Meleo posted two hits for one RBI.

In game two action, Brookdale secured the 8-6 win highlighted by Scuderi who went 3-4 at the plate. Scuderi connected for one double, one home run, two stolen bases and four RBI's. Sophomore Jay Marchese added one RBI. On the mound, lefty Philip Demarco posted his first win of the season with 5.1 innings pitched and six strikeouts. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Jayden Tisseker contributed the save.

As the Blues wrapped up their third win of the day against TNXL, 6-2, freshman right-handed pitcher Michael Wynne collected five strikeouts while sophomore righty William Kramer earned the two inning save from the mound. 

Sophomore infielder Ryan Ruziecki collected one double and one scored run as Scuderi remained a force to be reckoned with in the batters box. Scuderi smacked one home run and notched one stolen base and three RBI's.

Brookdale's record stands at 9-0 and the team will next face Stevenson University, Platinum and Rollins College on Thursday, March 21st beginning at 9:30am.
