Freshman Infielder Matt Granato Helps Lead The Jersey Blues Past Raritan Valley Lions

Lincroft, NJ- Freshman second baseman Matt Granato collected three singles on the day, two resulting in RBI's as the Blues overcame Raritan Valley Community College by a score of 14-4.

Sophomore pitcher Philip Demarco threw gas throughout four innings of play. Freshman RHP Jarred Rosso came in to relieve and freshman righty AJ Rizzi earned the save.

The bats stayed hot for the Blues when freshman outfielder TJ Scuderi hit for two doubles and an RBI. Sophomore catcher Jay Marchese notched a single and sophomore third baseman Ryan Ruziecki collected two hits, resulting in an RBI single.

Freshman outfielder Bradley Brush also connected at the plate twice with an RBI single and double as freshman infielder Keith Apostolos ripped home an RBI triple and single on the day. Freshman catcher Nicholas Coluccio also linked for an RBI single while freshman third baseman Nick DeMaio ended the game with an RBI double.

Brookdale improves to a 22-5 record. The Blues head to Ocean County College on Tuesday, April 9th at 3pm for a nine- inning conference match-up.
