Bobbie Beck Spins One Hit Shutout Against Cumberland Dukes; Brookdale Grabs Two Conference Wins

Vineland, NJ- Sophomore left-handed pitcher Bobbie Beck tallied the one-hit shutout in game one of the doubleheader against the Dukes of Cumberland County College. The Blues tallied the 10-0 victory as Beck struck out seven batters.

Sophomore second baseman Paige Eckert was hot at the plate, knocking in four RBI's while freshman shortstop Lizzie Dorsa posted a two-run double.

In game two, Brookdale defeated Cumberland 12-2. Eckert continued to dominate at bat, connecting three more times for two RBI's. Eckert also leads the NJCAA with 57 RBI's. Freshman outfielder Tori Lucarelli went 2-4 as sophomore center-fielder Katrina Hand recorded two hits and one RBI. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Rachel Hrevnak tossed for the win.

The team improves their overall record to 28-15 and will return home to face the Cougars of Camden County College on Saturday, April 28th at 1:00pm.
