Lincroft, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings struggled offensively to invade the paint, the keys, and the outside of the Jersey Blues territory Thursday night as Brookdale grabbed an easy win, 74-25. The Blues women who are currently 18-10, took the lead early with a 21-0 run in the 1st quarter score, and cruised for the victory from there.
Freshman forward Brianna Bowen exploded in the first quarter scoring 12 of her 21 total points to fire up her fellow teammates. As Brookdale cruised to a 45-8 halftime lead, Sophomore point guard Che'Kasha Andrews kept the ball rolling as she dropped 14 of her 19 buckets in the third quarter. Freshman guard Kayla Fletcher tallied 11 points on the night as she consistently chipped in points each quarter throughout the game.
Brookdale finishes their regular season against the Spartans of Northampton in Bethlehem, PA tomorrow afternoon @12pm.
