Bethlehem, PA - The Jersey Blues women outscored the Northampton Community College Spartans in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region XIX Tournament, hosted by Northampton, with a final score of 71-59. Brookdale had a huge and much needed second quarter with a 22-4 run, pulling out of a trailing 15-10 Northampton lead in the first, pushing the Blues to the finals on Sunday.
Sophomore leading scorer Che'Kasha Andrews dropped in 26 points, going 7-7 on the foul line. Freshman Brianna Bowen had quite an afternoon scoring 14 points, pulled 10 rebounds, and kicked out five assists. Sophomore power forward Gianna Errico was not shy under the boards with 14, and contributed nine points while partner Sophomore center Katelyn Molloy added 10 points, pulled eight rebounds, and swatted three blocks.
Brookdale will be taking the championship floor on Sunday at 12pm vs Rowan College Gloucester County.
