Women's Soccer Tops Rowan College at Gloucester County, 6-1; Caroline Duerr Nets 4 Goals

Sewell, NJ- The Brookdale women's soccer team topped the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 6-1. Sophomore forward Caroline Duerr netted 4 goals for the Blues. Duerr's first 2 goals were assisted by sophomore forward Nicole Rodriguez.

Sophomore center-midfielders Brooke Tartis and Meghan Begley each scored 1 goal. Tartis also collected an assist.

Sophomore midfielder Raquel Rodriguez contributed an assist, sending a ball into the box off a corner kick that Tartis drilled into the back of the net to end the half.

Led by sophomore Amanda Anastasia, the Jersey Blues defense held solid throughout 90 minutes of play. Freshman goalkeeper Marti Stewart made a career-high 9 saves against the Roadrunners.

The team will travel to Mercer County Community College on Thursday, September 11th for a 3:30pm match-up.
