Tinton Falls , NJ - It was a team effort as the Jersey Blues women's soccer team took down the Roadrunners of Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester, 5-0 in conference action. Freshman midfielder Karlee Rice put Brookdale on the board early, netting her first collegiate goal in the 6th minute of play. Freshman forward Jada Trotta dished the assist.
Trotta continued to battle up top and connected for the fourth and fifth goals for the Blues. Karabin collected both assists. Freshman Emily Clayton was unbeatable at sweeper with support coming from all defenders, including sophomore Rebecca Gorenstein, sophomore Alyssa Corrado and sophomore Dayna Van Pelt. Freshmen goalkeepers Rebeckah Trumble and Noelle Gibbons combined for the win in net, grabbing a total of five saves.
With the win, the team improves to 8-0-1 and will next host the Vikings of Ocean County College on Tuesday, October 15th at Manalapan Parks & Recreation for a 3:30pm kick-off.
