Women's Volleyball Splits At Tri-Match

Harrisburg, PA - The Jersey Blues were defeated by the Hawks of Harrisburg Area Community College in four sets, 1-3 (24-26, 25-20, 20-25, 8-25). Sophomore outside hitter Katie O'Neill contributed 12 kills, four aces and six digs.

Freshman middle hitter Carolyn Hazard posted eight kills and three digs as sophomore setter Ciarah Minnig dished 26 assists and notched two aces. Sophomore libero Samarie Hernandez added one kill, one ace and 14 digs.

In their second match-up against the Cougars of Lehigh Carbon Community College, Brookdale rallied for the 3-0 victory, (25-5, 25-6, 25-12). Minnig continued to produce with 13 aces, 11 assists and three kills. Sophomore setter Gabriela Pachamango tallied nine assists and five aces as O'Neill stayed fierce with eight kills, six aces and nine digs. 

With the split, the team improves to 10-7 and will next travel to Raritan Valley Community College to take on the Lions on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7pm for their last regulation match-up.
