"I loved being a student-athlete at Brookdale. I made tremendous friends as I built relationships with my coaches, teammates, and faculty throughout campus. Athletically, Brookdale allowed me to rediscover my love of playing basketball, and I was enthusiastic about attending class and gaining a great educational experience. I was able to live with my parents and be close to my grandparents as well, both of whom were able to see me play in almost every game. Brookdale and my experience there helped me to essentially continue my basketball and educational experience at Caldwell College as I got a full academic and athletic scholarship.
My decision to attend Brookdale also allowed me to be around family and friends, which I valued. I still think about my time playing at Brookdale and the friends I made(both coaches and teammates). We pushed each other to be our best selves at all times. As an educator and parent, I try to instill these values in my students, the kids I coach, and most importantly, my own children.
Going to Brookdale was the best decision I've made in terms of my academic and athletic career. My only regret is not being able to be a little better in the National Tournament and win the first Championship for Coach Cisek and the School."
