Brookdale Bats Explode In Road Sweep Of Camden County
Blackwood, NJ - The Brookdale Community College baseball team powered its way to a two-game sweep on the road over the Camden County College Cougars, winning by scores of 13-7 and 9-3.

Blackwood, NJ - The Brookdale Community College baseball team powered its way to a two-game sweep on the road over the Camden County College Cougars, winning by scores of 13-7 and 9-3.
In game one, the Jersey Blues offense erupted behind freshman catcher Ryan Adams, who clobbered two home runs and a double for four RBI's. Freshman first baseman Owen Parillo added to the power surge with a home run for two RBI's, while freshman center fielder Ray Mulhern went 2-for-4 with two RBI's.
Freshman DH Thomas Diffley contributed a triple and a double with an RBI, and sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti chipped in with an RBI double to round out the offensive attack.
On the mound, sophomore Gary Perone III earned the win, tossing 4.1 innings with five strikeouts. Diffley secured his second save of the season to close out the opener.
In game two, Brookdale continued its strong play as Perone helped his own cause with an RBI double. Freshman DH Gabriel Tomei added two RBI's in the 9-3 victory. Sophomore Matt Desiderio (1-0) earned the win for the Jersey Blues, who now improve to 4-3 on the season.
Brookdale will return home on Sunday, March 15th for a doubleheader against the SUNY Broome Community College Hornets beginning at noon.
