Lincroft, NJ – Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale Community College baseball team fell in the third game of their three-game series against the Northampton Community College Spartans, 19-5, despite an early surge powered by a grand slam.
Brookdale wasted no time making noise at the plate as freshman catcher Ryan Adams delivered a huge second inning grand slam to give the Jersey Blues an early spark and keep them within striking distance. The momentum, however, was short-lived as the Spartans responded with a steady offensive attack. Freshman left fielder Nicco Maribo added an RBI for Brookdale, contributing to the offensive effort in a challenging matchup.
With the loss, the Jersey Blues now stand at 10-5 on the season. Brookdale will look to recuperate as they host the Camden County Cougars on Wednesday, March 25th, with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 pm.
