Brookdale Opens Ocean Series With 25-6 Romp
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball opened its three-game series in dominant fashion, defeating the Ocean County College Vikings 25-6 in a single nine inning contest to improve to 36-10-1 on the season.

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball opened its three-game series in dominant fashion, defeating the Ocean County College Vikings 25-6 in a single nine inning contest to improve to 36-10-1 on the season.
Sophomore right fielder Casey Gardiner led the charge, going 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI. Sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti continued his strong play, batting 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI, while sophomore DH Gabriel Tomei added a three RBI double. Freshman shortstop Dawson Smail and freshman left fielder Nicco Maribo each contributed a double and two RBI, while freshman first baseman Thomas Diffley and freshman Ryan Adams also drove in two runs apiece.
On the mound, sophomore Gary Perone III remained undefeated, improving to 7-0 after throwing 7.0 strong innings with 10 strikeouts.
Brookdale will look to continue its momentum on the road as they travel to Toms River, NJ for a doubleheader against the Vikings on Saturday, May 2nd at 12:00pm.
