Jersey Blues Battle Until Final Out At World Series
Johnson City, TN - The No. 5 seeded Brookdale Community College baseball team fell 16-12 to the No. 2 seeded RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners in game three of the NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series at TVA Credit Union Ballpark.

Johnson City, TN - The No. 5 seeded Brookdale Community College baseball team fell 16-12 to the No. 2 seeded RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners in game three of the NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series at TVA Credit Union Ballpark.
Sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti led the Jersey Blues offense with a three-run home run in the first inning while also adding another RBI later in the game. Sophomore DH Casey Gardiner powered Brookdale in the third inning with a two-run homer, while freshman first baseman LJ Santiago delivered a two-run double to keep the Jersey Blues within striking distance. Additional RBI hits came from freshman catcher Ryan Adams, who batted 3-for-6, sophomore left fielder Nicco Maribo, who went 2-for-4, and sophomore center fielder Ray Mulhern.
Brookdale continued to battle throughout the entire game and showed resilience during the entire World Series run with exciting plays, comeback efforts, sportsmanship, and strong team camaraderie. The Jersey Blues completed another memorable season with a 44-14-1 overall record and a 25-8 conference mark while making back-to-back appearances at the NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series.
