Brookdale Basketball Hosts Boy Scout Troop 49

Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues basketball teams hosted Boy Scout Troop 49 on Tuesday, January 31st at the double-header match-up against the Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College.

Troop 49 enjoyed the games from the hospitality suite and spent some time with Brookdale student-athletes from both teams.

For over 90 years Troop 49 has served the youth in our community who live in the Fort Monmouth area, in Eatontown, Tinton Falls and other nearby towns.

Scouts in our troop experience adventure, learning, citizenship, service, challenge, and excitement and have forged long-term friendships. There's something for boys at every level of scouting, from new scouts to older scouts; scouts at the entry level Scout rank to the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. Over ninety young men in our troop have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and this number continues to grow. We welcome boys between the ages of 11 and 18 years old who want to join our troop, even if they have not been involved in scouting before. Cub Scouts crossing over from Arrow of Light Scouts or boys who have finished fifth grade who are looking to visit our Boy Scout troop can learn more by contacting us.
