Sophomore Forward Hakeem Wood Named GSAC Player Of The Week

Lincroft, NJ- Brookdale Community College sophomore forward Hakeem Wood was named Garden State Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending August 28, 2016.

Wood helped the team to two wins at the Northeast Cup Invitational hosted by Tompkins Cortland Community College. In the 2-1 OT victory over Hudson Valley Community College on day one, Wood scored the game winner on a penalty kick with 28 seconds remaining on the clock. On day two, Hakeem led the offense with two goals in the 4-0 victory over Holyoke Community College.
