Brookdale Sweeps Ocean County For Eighth Straight Victory
Toms River, NJ - Brookdale softball continued its outstanding run of form, sweeping the Ocean County College Vikings in a road doubleheader by scores of 11-2 and 13-1. The Jersey Blues pushed their winning streak to eight games and improved to 25-9 overall.

Toms River, NJ - Brookdale softball continued its outstanding run of form, sweeping the Ocean County College Vikings in a road doubleheader by scores of 11-2 and 13-1. The Jersey Blues pushed their winning streak to eight games and improved to 25-9 overall.
In game one, freshman catcher Alexa Cebulski delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance that included a triple and three RBI. Sophomore right fielder Emma Zazzarino and freshman center fielder Sophia Lasater each added two hits and two RBI to power the offense. Sophomore third baseman Jadeyn Pavlik chipped in with an RBI single, while sophomore pitcher Jules Hart dominated in the circle. Hart improved to 13-4 after throwing 5.0 strong innings with 10 strikeouts.
In the 13-1 win, Lasater continued her big day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBI. Zazzarino stayed hot by batting 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI, while freshman shortstop Adrianna Cruz added two RBI, including a triple in her 2-for-3 outing. Pavlik earned the win in the circle for the Jersey Blues, improving to 12-5 after pitching 5.0 innings with six strikeouts.
Brookdale will look to keep the streak alive when they travel to face the Middlesex College Colts on Tuesday, April 21st at 3:30pm.
