LINCROFT, NJ – The Brookdale Community College women’s basketball team earned their first win of the season with a dominant 73-50 victory over the Northern Essex Community College Knights on day two of the Brookdale Classic at the Robert J. Collins Arena.

LINCROFT, NJ – The Brookdale Community College women's basketball team earned their first win of the season with a dominant 73-50 victory over the Northern Essex Community College Knights on day two of the Brookdale Classic at the Robert J. Collins Arena.
Sophomore guard Jocelyn Jackson led the way for the Jersey Blues with 23 points, while freshman guard Laila Hagan filled the stat sheet with 21 points and seven steals. Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino added 17 points, and sophomore forward Madison Shields controlled the boards with 10 rebounds.
The Blues improved to 1-1 on the season and will hit the road next to face Passaic County Community College in a conference matchup on Thursday, November 6th at 5:00 p.m.
