Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues women's basketball team rolled to a dominant 82-26 victory over the RCSJ–Cumberland Dukes, securing their third win of the season with a strong all-around performance.
Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino led the way with 18 points, nine assists, and three steals, setting the tone on both ends of the court. Laila Hagan added 15 points and collected five steals as Brookdale's defensive pressure overwhelmed the Dukes from start to finish.
Jamirah Glanton delivered a standout double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals, while freshman guard Jamya Smith matched the scoring output with 14 points of her own, along with eight rebounds and four steals.
With the win, the Jersey Blues improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Brookdale will stay on their home court for their next matchup against the Community College of Philadelphia Lions on Tuesday, November 18th at 5:00 p.m
