Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College women's basketball team fell 74-67 to the Community College of Philadelphia Lions after a strong fourth-quarter push from the home team. The Lions broke open a close game by outscoring the Jersey Blues 29-18 in the final period to secure the victory.
Freshman guard Laila Hagan continued her impressive start to the season, leading Brookdale with 25 points. Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino added 19 points and six assists, helping keep the Blues within striking distance throughout the matchup.
Now 3-3 on the season, the Jersey Blues will regroup as they prepare to host the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers on Thursday, November 20th at 5:00pm.
