Cougars Claw Past Jersey Blues Women
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College women’s basketball team faced a challenging night at home, falling to the Camden County College Cougars, 80-42, to bring their record to 9-7. Despite the tough outcome, the Jersey Blues saw strong individual performances from two of their top guards.
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College women's basketball team faced a challenging night at home, falling to the Camden County College Cougars, 80-42, to bring their record to 9-7. Despite the tough outcome, the Jersey Blues saw strong individual performances from two of their top guards.
Freshman guard, Leomary Diaz-Merino, continued her steady rise this season, leading Brookdale with 17 points while adding four steals to spark defensive pressure throughout the night. Sophomore guard, Jocelyn Jackson, followed closely with an impressive 16 points, keeping the offense moving during stretches of the matchup.
The Jersey Blues will regroup quickly as they prepare to hit the road for their next matchup. Brookdale travels to face the Community College of Philadelphia on Thursday, January 29th, with tipoff set for 5:00pm.
