Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, overpowering the Ocean County College Vikings 81-44 at home to even their record at 11-11.
Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino took command of the floor with a sensational performance, leading all scorers with 32 points while dominating the boards with 15 rebounds and distributing five assists. Laila Hagan turned in an outstanding all-around effort as well, pouring in 19 points while adding five assists and five steals. Sophomore guard Jocelyn Jackson contributed 10 clutch points, stepping up in key moments to steady the offense and keep the momentum flowing.
With the victory, the Brookdale Jersey Blues even their record at 11-11 and continue to build momentum heading into their next challenge. The Jersey Blues will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to face the Northampton Community College Spartans on Saturday, February 14th, with a 12:00pm tip-off, as they look to carry their dominant form onto the road.
