Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues women's soccer team took down the DII Mercer County Community College Vikings to win their last regular-season game with a 3-1 score.
The first goal of the game came at 8:18 as sophomore midfielder Hannah Roberts scored off the assist from freshman midfielder Bella Tomassini. Brookdale added to their lead when Tomassini scored an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute for a first half 2-0 lead.
Freshman midfielder Victoria Barella attached a goal at 49:40 off of an assist from sophomore midfielder Taylor Suckey to make the score 3-0. The Vikings scored their first and only goal in the 87th minute to botch a shutout.
Brookdale has earned a 2nd seed BYE to play for the 2025 DIII East Region B District Championship on Friday, October 31st, at Ocean County College for a 1:30pm start.
