Branchburg, NJ - After dropping the first set, 17-25, to conference contender Raritan Valley Community College, the Brookdale undefeated women's volleyball team responded with perseverance. The Jersey Blues took three sets in a row from the Lions, 27-25, 25-12, 25-19 to win the match, 3-1.
Freshman outside hitter, Gemma Ferris, led the way for the Jersey Blues with 22 kills. Adding four kills and four aces was sophomore outside hitter, Maria Luz, and teammate, Alana Pytel, assisted with six kills.
Brookdale will be at home next on Saturday, September 27th, when they take on the Northampton Community College Spartans at 11:00am.
