Brookdale Bombs Away Against Montgomery Mustangs
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale baseball put on an offensive show at home, defeating the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs 19-3 to improve to 31-8-1 overall and 21-7 in conference play.

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale baseball put on an offensive show at home, defeating the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs 19-3 to improve to 31-8-1 overall and 21-7 in conference play.
The Jersey Blues bats were on fire all afternoon, launching four home runs and piling up runs from start to finish with a heavy third inning 10-run rout. Freshman catcher Gabriel Tomei led the charge with a monster performance, blasting two home runs and driving in five RBI. Sophomore first baseman Thomas Diffley went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, and three RBI, while sophomore Gary Perone III also added a home run to the power surge.
Freshman Ray Mulhern delivered a two RBI triple, and sophomore DH Casey Gardiner along with Emmanuel Cepin each contributed two RBI to the winning effort. On the mound, freshman Xavier Cortez earned his third win of the season after throwing 6.0 strong innings.
Brookdale will continue its three-game series against the Mustangs on the road Friday, April 24th at 1:00pm.
