Brookdale Closes Out Vikings With Strong Finish
Toms River, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball completed a three-game series sweep of the Ocean County College Vikings with a doubleheader sweep, 7-1 and 14-5, to improve to 38-10-1 on the season.

Toms River, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball completed a three-game series sweep of the Ocean County College Vikings with a doubleheader sweep, 7-1 and 14-5, to improve to 38-10-1 on the season.
In game one, freshman center fielder Ray Mulhern led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Sophomore DH Casey Gardiner and sophomore left fielder Nicco Maribo each added doubles for an RBI, while additional run production came from sophomore second baseman Ryan Tan and freshman first baseman Thomas Diffley.
On the mound, sophomore TJ Legere delivered a strong outing, pitching 6.1 innings with five strikeouts while allowing just four hits to improve to 4-2 on the season.
The Jersey Blues continued their offensive momentum in game two. Sophomore DH Gabriel Tomei led the charge, batting 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Gardiner followed with a 3-for-4 performance that included a home run, a double, and three RBI. Maribo added another big game, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI to help secure the win.
Sophomore Jeffrey Barham earned the victory on the mound, throwing 4.1 innings to improve to 8-1.
Brookdale will return home for its final regular season game against the Monroe University Express on Sunday, May 3rd at 12:30pm.
