Unfortunately for Brookdale, the Lions continued their momentum and outscored the Blues, 12-7, in overtime for the win.
Lincroft, NJ - The Salem Community College Mighty Oaks got cut down by the Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team, 84-64, in a GSAC DIII match up. The Blues climbed to the top from the get-go with a 12-2 jump-out lead, then a 15 point half time advantage, to a 84-64 win.
Sewell, NJ - The Brookdale men's basketball team suffered their second loss of the season in a tough, down to the wire game against the Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester, 71-70.
Vineland, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team downed the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes in a hard-fought, 76-65, win on the road. The Blues were up at the half, 34-23, and built themselves a nice 21 point lead until the Dukes diminished the lead to six. With a couple of clutch baskets from freshman guard, Kevin Mateo, and freshman forward, Niles Halliburton, the Blues were able to squeeze out the win.
Lincroft, NJ - Every member of the Brookdale men's basketball team checked into the game, scored, and defeated the Sussex County Community College Skylanders with a final score of 96-79.
Mays Landing, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team took their first loss of the season to the NJCAA #13 ranked, Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers, 102-96.
Blackwood, NJ - The Brookdale men's basketball team were able to fend off the Camden County College Cougars for the win, 78-71, but it was not an easy task. The Blues were down at the half 38-33, and really won the game in the last 2.5 minutes.
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's basketball team ruled over the Dukes of RCSJ-Cumberland, holding their own in the Jersey Blues territory with a 99-75 conference win.
