Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball delivered a commanding performance on its home field, sweeping the CC Morris Titans with decisive wins of 12-1 and 19-0.
In game one, sophomore left fielder Nicco Maribo led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Freshman shortstop Dawson Smail added a strong 3-for-4 performance with two doubles and two RBI. Additional run production came from sophomore center fielder Ray Mulhern, sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti, sophomore Emmanuel Cepin, sophomore second baseman Ryan Tan, and freshman catcher LJ Santiago as the Jersey Blues lineup stayed productive throughout.
On the mound, freshman Jack Kelly was dominant, earning two wins while allowing just five innings of work.
Brookdale carried that momentum into game two with another explosive outing. Ryan Tan went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBI, while Smail added two doubles and two RBI. Freshman right fielder Gabriel Tomei contributed a triple and two RBI as the offense continued to roll.
Freshman Xavier Cortez was outstanding on the mound, throwing 6.0 no-hit innings with six strikeouts and just one walk.
Brookdale (35-9-1) will hit the road next to face the Mercer County Community College Mustangs on Wednesday, April 29th at 2:00pm.
